Ellie Perry - Vinyasa Yoga
Ellie is originally from Sacramento, but moved up to Tahoe 5 years ago after graduating from Chico State. She fell in love with yoga, at first as physical exercise, and was later swept off of her feet by its mental and emotional benefits. Ellie decided to pursue the chance to be able to share this love with others by completing a 200hr yoga teacher training Bali last fall. Her classes are varied, and while she enjoys bringing up the heat with a vinyasa flow, she also values the importance of a mellow, restorative class. She aims to provide students with a space in which they can get what they need, both mentally and physically. Ellie enjoys being playful on and off the mat and is excited to practice with everyone at HAF!
Patrice Abood - Functional Yoga
Physical Fitness has always been an essential part of Patrice’s life starting with the 80’s craze of aerobic classes. In the early 90’s, the main passion became Pilates and yoga in which she now teaches both disciplines. Her recent and continuing studies are with the two most important parts of our bodies; the spine and the pelvis. She teaches Safe Spine Workshops and incorporates safe spine movements in to everything she teaches. Patrice studied with Rebecca Leone for her spine work and completed her Gap Filler and Portfolio Pilates courses and continues to take ongoing workshops with Rebecca. She was trained and certified (RYT® 200 Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher) as an Ashtanga and Sadhana Yoga Chi Instructor by Doug Swenson in May of 2010. Her yoga classes vary, but the style is generally a vinyasa-based mix infused with humor and generous helpings of kick-your-asana power flow sequences. Her most advanced posture which she will ask of the class is simply, a smile. :) Patrice received her Pilates comprehensive certification from master teacher Rael Isacowitz, founder of Body Arts and Science International (BASI).
Tara Puritan - Triple Threat, TRX
Tara Purinton is an Incline resident who thrives on being active in the outdoors with her husband Chase and dog Hailey. Her passion for teaching began as a children's ski instructor for Alta Ski Resort. After completing her Masters in Teaching at Sierra Nevada College she became a teacher for the Carson City School District. Her love of exercise is apparent with her enthusiasm for group fitness at High Altitude Fitness where she prepares members for the endurance and strength activities Lake Tahoe has to offer. She is also an avid marathon runner and placed 1st in her age group for the Lake Tahoe Marathon. In addition to running; Tara climbs, mountain bikes, skis and enjoys camping out. Her love for exercise and high energy levels are what makes her aerobic workout classes a hit. Certified in Group Fitness Instruction AFFA, Bosu and TRX.
Connie Rollins - Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga
Practicing yoga from a young age and teaching since 2003, Connie’s intent is to bring the student to a centered, enthused, and tranquil state of being - liberating creative energy and empowering each student with confidence and grace, on and off the mat.
Katie Lazzari - Personal Trainer, Cycling, TRX, Insanity
Katie is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, specializing in TRX and Indoor Cycling. Born and raised in South Carolina Katie grew up skiing in Winter Park, Colorado where her love of the mountains and outdoors began. After graduating from the College of Charleston with a BA in Corporate Communications she headed west and landed in Lake Tahoe. Katie currently resides in Kings Beach and enjoys any activity that allows her to be in nature. After being diagnosed with a chronic disease at a young age, Katie chose to take control of her illness through exercise and healthy eating. She began promoting her passion for health and wellness and her fitness career was born. Katie is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She also holds AFFA Primary Group Fitness certification, Schwinn Cycling, Maddog Spinning, Insanity, TRX Suspension Training, and BOSU. Always encouraging new participants, Katie believes it’s never too early or too late to works towards being the healthiest you. Think positively. Exercise daily. Eat healthy. Work hard. Stay strong. Lisa Masser - Restorative and Power Yoga
Initially drawn to yoga to help balance her athletic lifestyle and photography career, Lisa believes movement is pure, artistic expression of the deepest parts of our soul, as well as a method to find our way to a greater source within. Lisa organically blends her east coast roots of a powerful, heartfelt vinyasa flow with her west coast flare and deeper understanding of yoga. Lisa continues to be astounded by the magnitude of yoga, and feels her yoga journey has only just begun, remaining open to its continued evolution. The broad horizon of her experience infuses her classes with fun, laughter, and a sense that one can achieve anything. On the mat and paddle-board, Lisa is devoted to maintaining a playful spirit, sweet sweat, and a smile towards progression. She also delivers a soothing experience in Yin or Restorative classes. Blending the breath with meditation you will leave renewed and ready for anything. She lives by the words: “in teaching and learning, there is no perfection, only practice.”

Sandy has a passion for life and fitness and just plain FUN! Sandy loves to motivate others and her enthusiasm for fitness is infections and what attracts people to her. Fitness is a lifestyle and can be fun every step of the way, let her show you how to attain this. Sandy enjoys being creative, developing and implementing new programs and fitness incentives. Kristen is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor specializing in HIIT, Pilates, and functional sport fitness. She is an Incline local, by way of San Diego, CA, and Pensacola, FL. She first discovered Tahoe when her love of ultrarunning and skiing brought her here almost a decade ago. After seeing the "lake in the sky," she knew she had to make this vacation spot her home. She believes in a mindful, passionate, and extremely active lifestyle, and is so grateful to have the opportunity to embrace this lifestyle in the mecca of adventure, Lake Tahoe. Kristen is certified as a personal trainer through ISSA, and holds additional certifications in TRX Suspension Training, BOSU, and WaterRower Indoor Rowing. Kristen strongly maintains the importance of a mind body connection both in and out of the fitness studio. It's never too early or too late to begin your fitness journey. Nicole Lanvin - Cycling, Barre Burn
Nicole has been passionately immersed in the nutrition, fitness, and wellness industries for the past twenty years. She began her career as the hostess and co-producer of the vegetarian cooking show, “Cooking, Naturally”. She later worked at the Pritikin Longevity Center as an Exercise Physiologist. She has a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA, has done graduate work in Exercise Science and Health Promotion at Florida Atlantic University, and has a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. She has been a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for twenty two years and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. She also holds certifications in Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and Health Coaching. Nationally and in California, she leads workshops based on her book, Think, Act, Be Fit and Thin, Roadmap to the Body You Deserve.
